Notes on the time
Bring in your cut, pin each note to its second, bring in the next version, resolve, approve.

Transcript
A first cut often needs another pass. Watch it, and pin each note to the second it belongs to; bring in the next version, and resolve what it fixed. In this video: notes on the time, one version after another, and the approval.
Every Nine Seconds went through four cuts in Kiju's cutting room. Each note is pinned to a second of one version: at six seconds of version one, four seconds of pure black, where a scroller leaves. Click a note, and the cut goes to its frame. Every note is resolved, and a version is approved.
Then the publication: its title, its description, and its captions, written with the cut's own times. It says where the episode goes, and that its images and voice are AI-generated.
Side by side: version one, and the cut we approved. On the left, the first sweep ends in pure black. On the right, the dark is still the shot, and the sea keeps moving. An AI judge's notes, turned into fixes we chose, one version at a time.
Now, yours. Open The Birthday Cake's cutting room: it shows the shot list, and the takes you kept, 2.1 and 2.2. Export the chosen takes: Kiju copies them in shot order into a folder, for your editor, Resolve, Premiere, whatever you cut with. The narrator's starred line is in the Lab: drag it into your editor too.
Cut, export, and come back to the cutting room: Bring in the cut. Kiju copies it into the channel's folder: it's version one. Here it is, as it came from the editor.
Play it in Kiju. Right at the cut, press N: it comes before the sprinkler's second pass. Type the note, and Enter pins it to that frame. Play on. At the end, the narrator is cut off mid-line: a second note, at its second.
Back in your editor, fix them, and bring in version two. The notes stay, on version one, and every version is kept. Here is version two.
The arc passes twice, and the line ends. Resolve each note it fixed. One thing to know: Kiju guesses a note's shot from the planned shot list, and on a two-shot test cut its guess is off. Read the time, not the shot.
Both notes are resolved: Approve this cut. The approval is for version two; a version three would wait for its own. This approves our two-shot test cut: the checklist counts it as covering the shots, and only the destination is still unset.
Pause here, and make yours: pin each note to its second, bring in the next version, resolve, then approve. Next time: episode two.
The film is in English, with English captions. Filmed on the Kiju desk, version 0.1.0. The images, the video and the voices in the films are AI-generated.
